Frequently asked questions

Why does ShroomSeeker need background location? +

Background location lets the app keep recording your hiking route while your phone is in your pocket or the screen is off. Without it, route tracking would stop as soon as you lock the device.

Where are my routes and finds stored? +

Routes, finds, and polygons are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.

How do I delete my account? +

Email ilikecherryjam@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and we will delete your account and authentication data.

Does ShroomSeeker work offline? +

Yes. Once map tiles for an area are cached, the app continues to work without an internet connection. Login requires an internet connection on first use.
